Dear Ramily:

I’d like to take a moment to reflect on the incredible summer we’ve had at Port Chester-Rye Union Free School District.

Throughout the last couple of months, we’ve welcomed new administrators and staff, and our summer school program has provided approximately 350 students with enriching learning opportunities. Our Reading Buddies program, formed in partnership with Family Services of Yonkers, and internships in the arts and technology are just a couple of other highlights. Visits from Legislator Barr and Senator Mayer added to the excitement.

In addition, our custodians and grounds crew have been working diligently to prepare our schools, and our teachers are eager to welcome new students. Anticipation for the first day is high, and we are thrilled for the possibilities of another school year.

To celebrate, we’ll be hosting the Rams Reunion Back to School Bash. Join us on Thursday, September 5, at 5:00 p.m. on the middle school grounds for music, fun, and community spirit. We invite all PTO leaders, the Girl Scouts, community partners, teachers, staff, students, and parents to attend. Bring a picnic blanket and enjoy the festivities! Food trucks may also be available.

In the meantime, please enjoy a special summer edition of the Ram Gram. This newsletter will be your go-to source for staying informed about the dynamic efforts that continue to drive our district forward. Dive in to learn more about our plans to ensure success for every student.

Thank you for your ongoing support. We look forward to helping your children reach their highest potential this upcoming school year and beyond!
