Office of Special Education

The Office of Special Education is responsible for all functions of the Committee on Special Education (CSE), Committee on Preschool Education (CPSE) and the 504 Committee. Please join us for a Parent University Special Education Workshop for Families!

This in person workshop will be presented for parents of children who are transitioning from the Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) to the Committee on Special Education (CSE) entering kindergarten. The following are the topics for the event:

* CSE Process and timelines
* Similarities and differences between CPSE and CSE
* Roles and responsibilities of CSE members and parent rights
* Evaluations, eligibility, and the individualized education program (IEP)
* Continuum of services in CSE & districtwide support & services
* Current federal and state regulations

Join us on Thursday, March 2 from 6pm-7:30pm in person at JFK Elementary School
