Transportation Eligibility

Transportation will be provided for all resident children who legally attend a public, private or parochial school from 2 to 15 miles from their homes, as required by State Education Law. Any student in grades K-8 will be eligible if he or she lives more than 2 miles from the school and a student in grades 9-12 will be eligible if he or she lives more than 3 miles from the school.

Private or Parochial School Students

Any resident now living in the District who applies for transportation on or before April 1 of each year will be provided with transportation if they meet the above mileage criteria. New residents will need certified proof of the date of residence and will be provided transportation only if applications are filed within 30 days of moving into the district, and in accordance with Chapter 3635 of the New York State Education Law.
