Port Chester High School senior Melody Sapione is the recipient of a Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship. She is among 150 distinguished students who were selected from a pool of 103,800 applicants to receive a $20,000 scholarship.

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to high school seniors. They are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. As part of the selection process, Sapione participated in an interview with the regional interview committee, which was comprised of a Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation staff member and previous scholarship recipients.

According to the program, the Foundation has provided 6,900 students with more than $84 million in scholarships in the last 36 years. As a winner, Sapione will attend a conference in Atlanta, Georgia, in April with the other scholarship winners.
