Dear Ramily,

We are pleased to announce that the Port Chester School District has partnered with the Port Chester Police Department to launch the School Resource Officer (SRO) initiative. The elementary program will officially begin on September 30, 2024.

Officer Ochoa will be present in our elementary schools, and he will take the opportunity to meet and greet students and staff. This initiative aims to build a positive rapport within our school community, fostering safety and trust between our police department and our students, families, and educators.

We recognize the importance of familiarizing everyone with Officer Ochoa, who has a compelling personal story of perseverance that has already inspired many. We encourage you to welcome him, shake his hand, and get to know the person behind the uniform.

We are excited to welcome Officer Ochoa to our district and ask for your support in ensuring the success of this initiative. Together, we can strengthen the bonds between our community and our police department, creating a safe and nurturing environment for all Port Chester students.

Thank you for your continued support.

Dr. Aurelia Henriquez
