Port Chester high schooler and New York State Thespian Officer Jordan Rivera and fellow officers from schools across the state could be found in New York City's Theater District on Sunday, lending a helping hand at the Broadway Cares Flea Market. One of the most highly anticipated days of the season, the event offers fans the chance to find one-of-a-kind showbiz treasures, meet their favorite Broadway cast members and bid on exclusive backstage experiences.

As a NYS Thespian Officer, Jordan will work throughout the school year planning experiences in theater education.

Port Chester High School's Fifth Annual Ramily Carnival on Friday, September 20, was a day to remember for students and their families. With proceeds benefiting the district's entire student body, the event featured music, games, prizes, food trucks, a dunk tank and more.

In a message to faculty, Assistant Principal Diantha Barone wrote, "The flagpole was buzzing with student interest and information. Games were a big hit and the memories made were priceless. Each year, our events come to life because of all of you. Thank you!"

At their second competition at New Milford High School, Port Chester High School's marching band Pride of Port Chester placed first in their group; a fantastic start to the season. Come out to support them at their next competition, which will take place tomorrow, Saturday, September 28, at Trumbull High School.

During a recent match against White Plains High School, junior volleyball player Sky Sams reached a career milestone of 500 digs. A dig is a defensive technique that keeps the ball in play. It is also known as a forearm passing. Way to go, Sky!
