Dear Ramily,

As we welcome the vibrant season of spring, I am filled with hope and excitement for the many wonderful things happening in our schools. Spring symbolizes renewal and growth, bringing with it a sense of anticipation for the future.

I am thrilled to announce the rollout of the Sandy Hook Promise initiative in the Port Chester School District. This outstanding program has earned a stellar reputation for its commitment to student safety and well-being. In the coming weeks, you will notice posters throughout our schools encouraging everyone to "Say Something" if they see something concerning. This initiative focuses on three key steps: recognizing warning signs and threats, taking them seriously, and reporting them to a trusted adult or submitting an anonymous tip.

The posters will include a QR code for easy access to reporting resources. Community members can text TIP to 79775 to report concerns or use our mobile app and website for anonymous submissions. These tools reflect our ongoing commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment for all students.

I would be remiss if I did not take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to our Security Coordinator, Mr. Michael Dowd, and our Deputy Superintendent, Dr. Colleen Carroll. Their leadership and dedication have been instrumental in launching this initiative. There is more to come on this topic, so please stay engaged.

Say Something: See it. Report it.

Additionally, our "2024-25 District Goals" posters will be displayed throughout our school buildings in the coming weeks, serving as a daily reminder of our commitment to academic excellence, community engagement, and student success. When you see them, take a moment to read about how we're working together to build a brighter future for every student.

One final announcement is regarding the upcoming Rams Saturday Academy, scheduled for April 26 at one of the district's elementary schools. Please save the date! We are looking forward to offering a variety of engaging activities and opportunities for parents and community members to learn and grow alongside our students.

We can all agree that our first annual Rams Reunion this fall was a fantastic collaboration between our community partners and the district. We anticipate that Rams Saturday Academy will be just as successful, and we can’t wait to share more details with you. Stay tuned for updates and mark your calendars!
