Dear Ramily,

As we enter the second half of the school year, we find ourselves at a pivotal moment filled with exciting opportunities for our students. Our journey toward continuous improvement is well underway, and we are eager to share the progress and initiatives that lie ahead. As we begin our budget discussions, we encourage you to stay informed by watching our Board of Education meetings from home if you are unable to attend in person. Your insights are invaluable, and we welcome any questions or concerns you may have. Whether through a phone call, an in-person meeting, or a Zoom session, we look forward to connecting with you. Engaging early in the budget process helps ensure that more members of our community understand the decisions being made and can actively participate in shaping our educational landscape.

As we navigate new challenges as a community, it is essential that we do so with integrity and respect for all. It is important to remember that we are one community family. We invite all members to join the conversation, remain open to hearing from other stakeholders, and be part of the solutions for the benefit of all students. Please also keep an eye out for upcoming surveys and updates regarding our dual language programs, as we continue working to strengthen and enhance our bilingual education offerings. This commitment reflects our vision of Success for Every Student.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who contributed to another highly successful STEAMFest! Special recognition goes to Mr. Ritacco, Dr. Sinsabaugh, Veronica Ruggiero, Stephanie Rubenfeld, Elizabeth Baisley, Gina Depperman, and many others who worked diligently to create an incredible experience for our students. One highlight for many was seeing our high school students collaborate on various STEAM activities alongside our younger learners. We are grateful to the many teachers and staff members whose efforts made this event such a success.

As we prepare for the 2026–2027 budget, please remember to keep the lines of communication open. We are here to support you and answer any questions you may have. Thank you for your continued partnership and support in ensuring the success of our students.

Sincerely,

Dr. Aurelia Henriquez
Superintendent of Schools
